Yeah, I thought that was bullshit. "Accidentally" coming off the moorings is really vague, I don't think it should be deemed accidental if it was done by the defending team even if they didn't intend to do it.

We weren't going to make up the entire gap on a west coast trip.

3-2 is a solid result, you take it, almost especially given how bad we had been playing, and you try to build off of it.

I believe this is overstated. Calgary and Winnipeg we had issues but winning in Edmonton was Vanc hasn’t been an issue.

I never thought it would be a goal yesterday, cage was off 3 days before the puck went in.

The one I still dont understand is how the "whistle had no effect" goal counted against the Devils versus Edmonton, but Nico's goal the other day under precisely the same situation was ruled "no goal".

There is enough wiggle room amongst competing rules that the ref can effectively justify whatever his gut tells him and be correct. The rule might as well just say that the ref can decide a goal is a goal regardless of any other rule.
