Glass 99% full mock:

Devils: Hughes
Rangers: Kakko
Blackhawks: Byram/Turcotte
Avalanche: Turcotte/Byram
Kings: Podkolzin
Red Wings: Broberg (big reach for a defenseman)
Sabres: Cozens/Dach/Zegras
Oilers: Boldy
Ducks: Cozens/Dach/Zegras
Canucks: Kaliyev (already have Pettersson/Horvat, reach for a winger)
Flyers: Caufield/Soderstrom (already have Couturier/Patrick/Frost, reach for a winger/defenseman)
WILD: Cozens/Dach/Zegras
This would be ideal

^^ would be unreal. Maybe we’ll see some trading back in the top 10, but I would have to think teams will draft BPA, why not be 2 or 3 centers deep? They can always trade them for D later on if they have higher value. I could see us maybe grabbing Zegras but I’d have to think Cozens and Dach will be gone.

Just took a nap and had a dream we drafted Zegras and our power play was so silky. Then I woke up.

I've been so melancholy about this team after this season and the lottery draft. Seeing the hawks win and the wild fall is to much to handle. We still have the same scouting staff that said flip would be a great 1st rounder?!? WTF?

People are going to think what they’re going to think, but haven’t actually been proven wrong yet.

HI! I'm a Canadiens fan and I'm asking other teams fans what are the first need you have to adress with your first pick. The Canadiens needs to find a winger (powerforward or goal scorer) and secondly, a top4 D. Cheers!

Top 6 center would be preferable. If they turn into a 1C that would be best case scenario.

If Krebs and Broberg are there at 12, I'd call Florida up to see if they'll throw in a 5th/6th to move up 1. The Slick Rick method.

The more I watch and read about Zegras, the more I think he might have the 3rd highest ceiling in this draft. I would love to get him @ 12, but he wont be there. You can improve your shot and skating, but smarts are either there or theyre not. There are maybe 5 players I can think of in the NHL that see the ice (playmaking) as well as he does, and I love that he always makes a few exciting moves per game. I would love to have him run our powerplay for the next 15 years.

Zegras to Dumba

What I'm not sure that I see in him is the will to affect and take over the game. That is what all great players have. They want the spotlight. I have my doubts about Hughes, but there is no doubt that he wants it. IQ and skill are great, but will, or wanting to more than anyone else, is part of the pkg, also.

Interesting that you have Korczak and Robertson so high, and York so low, but I can't disagree with you. Like the former two. Not sexy, but solid. Tomasino...I ust don't know about him. Seems kind of lightweight, somehow.

I've see a few rankings with York in the ~20 range.

If Brink falls out of the 1st, and/or falls to us in the 2nd, because he's 5'8", hot damn.
