Just wondering how people felt that C and/or A's were going to be distributed next season.

I had a couple of scenarios in mind with Stamkos and without.

With Stamkos;

C - Stamkos
A - Komarov
A - Rielly

Without Stamkos;

A - Komarov
A - Rielly
A- Laich

Thoughts? What are your choices for captain/assistant captains?

Playoff Experience: Babcock, Laich, Michalek,

Personally I'd like to see more cheap vets brought in who have playoff experience, guys who have been around and fought in the trenches (ie. Laich, Michalek). But we have lots of guys who deserve to be on the team so maybe just Babcock will be enough.

We want to insulate our young guys as much ass possible. Id prefer 3 vets wear the As. Rielly would be the "alternate alternate" to get him used to the role.

If Stamkos does come here I'd prefer to not put the extra pressure of the C on him right away.

Not sure who else could fill that role right now - so maybe 3 As are better

I didn't include Bozak because I wasn't so sure he'd be here next year.

Plus I really want to get Rielly an A at this point, he's a big part of the team moving forward.

I think Babcock and Lou like the way Kadri plays but would putting a letter on him be a good thing? The way he talks sometimes and his recent reputation with officials might make that decision regrettable.

I feel like Rielly absolutely deserves an A at this point though.

I'm thinking of it as a test or wake up, call it what you will. This will help them decide if he is a piece they want to move forward with long term.

Rielly, Komarov and Laich would be my choice as alternates. Only one of the three I would think of as a potential captain is Rielly. There is potential for Laich as a short term captain if Toronto choses to go this route. In the short time he has been in Toronto, he has shown himself to be a leader and would suit the role until a better option presents itself. Also, taking this route might help boost his trade value come the deadline as an added bonus.

Could be a useful player without the letter if you could get him on your 3rd line...but I know what you're saying.

I doubt he finishes the contract here but he's easily moveable.
