This is my humble take:

Iafallo – Kopitar – Arvidsson
Tkachev – Danault – Brown
Kempe – Vilardi – Andersson
Moore – Byfield – Athanasiou
Lemieux
Lizotte

Anderson – Doughty
Bjornfot – Roy
Edler – Walker
Maatta

Petersen
Quick

Having said all that, I'd like to see Vilardi eventually move to wing so that Byfield takes over at 3C with JAD moving up to 4C.

It was an idea. I didn't say it was a good idea.

According to who's left, I'd go with:

1: Kempe-Kopitar-Arvidsson
2A: Andersson-Vilardi-Tkachev
2B: Iafallo-Danault-Brown
4: Lemieux-Lizotte-Moore
Athanasiou/Wagner

1: Anderson-Doughty
2: Bjornfot-Roy
3: Edler-Walker
Strand or Wolanin

Petersen/Quick

Waive Maatta, start Byfield in Ontario

PP:
Kempe-Kopitar-Arvidsson-Brown-Doughty
Iafallo-Vilardi-Tkachev-Danault-Walker

PK:
Danault-Iafallo
Kopitar-Kempe
Lizotte-Moore
Plus regular D pairings

Over the past two seasons these were the lines that seemed to click and had the depth players playing their best hockey.
Andersson - vilardi - xx
Kempe - lizotte - wagner
Grundstrom - jad - moore

The roster and lines this year still arent clear to me.

Tkachev certainly has the skill and IQ. I've seen enough at this point to be convinced. Now, will he have the motor, attitude and physical constitution to make it? Yet to be seen. But right now, he already thinks the game and executes at an above average NHL level.

I’m seeing a bit of Palffy IQ from him. Even when he’s on the PP on the half wall reminds me a bit of Ziggy.

I'm so glad you mentioned this! This very thought popped into my head last week after seeing him play those two games. They both have that think the game ahead of you and operate in slow motion type of thing goin on.

Having said all that, I'd like to see Vilardi eventually move to wing so that Byfield takes over at 3C with JAD moving up to 4C.

This is my lineup as well (based on who is left). I would not move Iafallo off of Kopitar's wing. Iafallo is a good puck hound and will help keep plays alive. Arvidsson is a good sniper and hopefully develops chemistry with Kopitar who is a good passer and good with entering the zone. I think having Brown on Danault's line is a good idea because of Brown's recent poor defensive zone coverage. I think Tkachev's passing skills could help both Brown and Danault score.

Keep Vilardi and Andersson together. They have chemistry from what we have seen. Kempe adds an element of speed and zone entry skills. For the bottom line, I would slot in Lemieux until AA is back and rotate those players in and out. I don't think Wagner or Lizotte should crack the lineup.

I like your line combos. Tough to say whether Tkachev would be better with Vilardi and Andersson or Danault and Iafallo. I'm sure the coaching staff will figure it out. Gotta keep Byfield around - he's too much of a big presense out there. I like him a lot with Moore and Lemieux or Athanasiou. You gotta expect there will be injuries at some point and that will be the chance for some of the kids to step up and assert themselves.

The way they role these lines would depend on matchups but if they want to ice the best roster at this moment I think this is the best theyve got. With Kupari and JAD next in line for injuries.

They could swap parts of the second and fourth lines on any given night in my opinion.
