This Olympics is turning into a disaster.

Downhill and slalom skiing in slush.

Cross country skiing in mush.

A half pipe that is so ruined I'm not even sure you can call it a half pipe event.

Slopestyle ski and snowboard tracks that have universally been panned as "dangerous".

Moguls course they have to treat with chemicals just so the snow bonds FOR moguls.

Thank god hockey is indoors.

Every four years I get addicted to curling. Great Briton EMBARRASSED the US.

Apparently 7 points is REALLY rare in even in the lower beer level leagues. It has never happened in the Olympics before.

Rest of the events have been a slush mess so far. Thank god for curling.

I've (sadly) watched a lot of curling over the years (used to get Canadian TV channels when I lived in VT), and I'd never seen it done.

I thought their imported snow was supposed to solve the 55+ degree weather problem

Honestly putting the Winter Olympics in a place where the weather's in the 50's at best during February would be just as nutty as putting the Summer Olympics in Antarctica. Of course we know why it's here....$$$$ bribes.

Yeah, you dont drive though, you're a passenger and an experienced driver pilots the sled. I wanna' say it's about $80.

And FYI, for anyone whose never been to Lake Placid, get off your azz and go. It's the best ski town east of the Mississippi (sorry Stowe), and just a fantastic place.

Any serious American hockey fan MUST pilgrimage there anyway just to check out the Miracle On Ice rink/arena, much of which is exactly as it was in February 1980.
