Not arguing, but what exactly didn't you like about Black/Cole ?
Imo there were no bad spots in the match. It all made sense to me

But holy shit. I can't rate Almas and Gargano high enough. Legit one of the better matches I've seen in a long time.

Yeah I have Black/Cole at ****3/4 and Alma’s-Gargano at ***** but still two ****+ matches is pretty awesome, even for NXT.

It was great, it just wasn't 5 stars great. It was closer to 4 for me (****1/4). Almas/Gargano probably isn't going to be touched all year, imo, except for maybe Ciampa/Gargano.

Just like with with Cole, Fish, O'Reilly jumping MacIntyre a few takeovers ago, the crowd pop gave away the last second swerve. That and the weird angle that just showed Johnny and not the actual stage.

Maybe I just rate things too easily, but I think Black/Cole could be argued to be 5 stars
It was a great extreme rules match
Superkicks and running knees to chairs, fresh new table spot, run ins that make sense, an absolutely fantastic kendo stick spot as Black is doing a moonsault
Not to mention Cole's A+ facial expression and calling him stupid when Black tossed his kendo stick away

But maybe that's just me

Black and Cole was a cool match but Almas-Johnny had legit drama and great false finishes. Title matches should have that kind of storytelling and crowd buy-in. It was great even if the heel won.

Yeah the Cole/Black match is a strong 4* match. There were a lot of cool spots and it was a really fun match....but it just wasn't a 5* match.

Almas/Gargano is absolutely deserving of the praise. It had excellent an excellent build up and drama in it
I just think people are sleeping on Black/Cole. I'm not saying it's better or anything, but I don't get some of your guys ratings

If Black/Cole is a 4 and a quarter, then no way is Almas/Gargano 5 stars imo

But again, that's just me
I'll stop now lol
