Would you trade a Selke Winner for a Non-Generational 1st OA?

Matthews isn't labelled as Generational. That's why I said Generational/Elite.

He's a step above the others besides McDavid is what I was getting at.

Mackinnon = Elite

Ekblad = 1D(That may had went down the drain though he's likely just a 1st Pairing guy)

McDavid = Generational

Matthews = Superstar/Franchise C

Hischier = Elite(I think it's a rare chance of him being Elite though, but he's got all the tools)

I would not be suprised if the last two players win a Selke in they're future either.

Matthews isn't generational. I would only trade Bergeron for McDavid.

Bergeron is a pretty good player (I consider him more than just a Selke winner, he’s a franchise player)but Lou hangs up and blocks the Bruins number if they think Bergeron is worth Matthews.

Did he get more than a 1 PPG?

We won’t know if Matthews is generational or not until after this season. If he puts up 40+ goals, ~90 points as a sophomore in this low scoring league, he’s absolutely generational. If he follows up this season with a slight bump to a 75-80 point season, he’s at the same level as Tavares, Stamkos etc. A superstar but not a generational player.

Who even knows if McDavid would have finished above 1PPG if he played the full 82 games instead of half the season?
