As was this little tidbit from the article

Nosek's agent, Ales Volek, also represents Red Wings forward Tomas Jurco. Volek liked how Grand Rapids Griffins coach Jeff Blashill helped develop Jurco, which aided the Red Wings in their efforts to land Nosek.

If we assume that all 6-8 teams were only offering an ELC, then it shows how highly Blashill and the Wings development system is rated, if this kid's agent sees this as the best route to $$$ long term.

with maybe Sheahan centering another line with Jurco next to him. Nestrasil could still make it and he's 6'2''. Nastasiuk is over six foot. Janmark is over six. With some luck, we have some good size to go with smaller guys like Tatar, Nyquist, and Pulkkinen.

I would count Brunner as a hit too even if Detroit decided not to keep him.

We very easily could've missed the playoffs in 2013 without him.

Aye, that's how I see it. We've got nothing to lose. Either he turns out to be a big suprise in a couple of years or he stays with GR, adding some rooster depth as a C.
