Oh, didn't know. Why is that? Coaching mentality? Doesn't want them getting involved in anything?

Management mentality in building a speed/skill based team with no true bruisers in the lineup.

Coaching mentality in running a system that minimizes play in the "dirty" areas and discourages players from taking penalties.

Player mentality in that we don't have any wild card types who just grab somebody and stop throwing, you basically have to drag guys like Faulk and Staal into a fight and they're the tough guys.

If they do, who cares? Pointless endeavor unless you get lucky and have your designated goon take a more skilled player off the ice for 5 minutes.

The 919
Fleury got into a fight in the preseason, and did pretty well for himself. I could see him or Faulk, or possibly McGinn get into a dust-up at some point.

So did Trevor Carrick...that should count as 1 reg season fight. Anyway there will be more before the the season is over, esp if we start winning and piss other teams off.

They were last in the league for fights last season too, shouldn't be surprising if they are again this year. They have pretty much nobody who picks fights and in general play a speedy perimeter game. Not a lot of grease on the roster

Anaheim gets a replacement for their injured forwards and Carolina gets someone who, instead of scoring meaningless hattricks, can help them win games!

Carolina adds 3 3rd round picks and retains $1.57.

Anaheim adds 2 2nds and Bieksa (cap dump) $45 retained.

It's a physical/ emotional sport. If they have 0 fights all season they lack balls and heart to stick up for themselves and for there fellow teammates.

The last three Stanley Cup champions all had the second least fighting majors in the league. If the teams that lack balls/heart are winning the cup what does that say about the teams who are losing to them?

Pittsburgh could have 3 enforcers on their 4th line and still would have won. Nice try
OH and they have become tired of being abused and added the top heavyweight in the nhl

Josh Jooris will probably fite before the season's over. People don't seem to like him very much on the ice.

Faulk used to be good for 1 or 2 fites a season but he will only fite when he's pretty sure he can win. He did beat down Troy Brouwer once though.
