It it most likely won't happen unless we get lucky like the Canes did last year. That's the way its gonna have to happen unfortunately. So guessing probably a 6/7 percent chance at first overall and 15-20 percent for top 3 pick this year and maybe next year since we will most likely miss the playoffs again. That is even if you consider Hughes/Kakko/ Podkolzin/Couzins elite?

I think its a fairly common precautionary measure if there is every reason to believe that the deal is going through, as player injury would definitely derail the whole thing. But all we can do is wait and see what happens

Yet If McQuaid plays I am going to assume the Rangers have extended him and DeAngelo has been traded.
