Can it ever get back to the glory days?

It needs more races on ABC, more American drivers, and a race in Milwaukee wouldn't hurt. The Milwaukee Mile problem was a race that charged $30-45 was jumped to $65 - 125. Basically, the new 2002 grandstand, which is 75% bleacher seats, doubled or tripled the prices. People decided to stay home and watch the race on TV rather than pay so much for a bleacher seat in the sun. The grandstand should have been built with 50% or more real seats, but the Wisconsin State Fair Park board is dominated by anti-racing zealots, which is a problem at the oldest active motor racing track in the world, starting in 1903. They want the historic track to fail so they can get 100% control over the land. I have heard second hand that they want another parking lot. BTW, the old grandstand had a sun shade that covered about 80% of the seats by around 3 PM.
