1) Jimmy Howard cant stop a beach ball
2) The "best" coach in the league can't adjust and continues to send the same players out who never score.
3) Jimmy Howard

Islanders play the Wings on Friday, maybe we should try run the clock out for 65 minutes

Howard isn't very good at stopping the puck in the shootout.

The rest of the team isn't very good at scoring in the shootout.

Hasn't Howard let in like 11 of his last 14 shots against in shootouts?

That would be the primary reason.

But I think you'd be hard pressed to try and blame him for tonight's loss. Both he and Sergei were great.

Haven't seen them all but Howard's record is just bad. A goalie has the advantage in the shoot out and should at least be 65%. Ideally in the 70s or higher. Might be small samplesize at this point though.

Howard can't stop a shot. Nobody but Datsyuk can score for us. Pretty much we suck at all aspects of the shootout, and even when we can score, Howard will let all three in. Or when Howard stops 2 or 3 of the shots, we don't score at all.

Pure Jimmy Howard. Nothing but. Even if the team somehow manages to put up 2/3 (which they can't, not good in the SO despite Money in the Bank Datsyuk), Jimmy will let in 3/3 or 3/4.

He just cannot handle 1 on 1.

Jimmy Howard can't stop a shot to save his life in the shootout. He's already a small goalie but he makes it harder on himself by not challenging enough. Shooters have him figured out, they just have to be patient with the puck and find an opening when he backs up.
