Ryan i one. I feel like it would be nice to have a guy like Neil, fisher, Boro, pageau ect ect... players who have been noted for their work ethic off the ice and have exemplified doing whatever it takes to win on the ice.

If they take an 'A' from Neil the team will get pushed around. We've already lost Condra, we can't afford to lose more team toughness.

Condra and toughness do not go together. Condra is a good to very good defensive forward but he definitely is not tough. Neil and Borowiecki are tough.

Neil
Phillips when they play.

Exactly my thoughts... tough to take away the letter off a jersey of two (albeit declining) life-long Sens who have earned the honour.

Turris, Methot, Mac, Lazarcat, Pageau will have their turns soon enough

I'm not sure why we're debating this...Turris and Ryan HAVE ALREADY BEEN CHOSEN as the other alternates already.

This was the case with Neil, he was one of the "alternate A's" for a long time before Alfredsson moving on bumped him up the depth chart.

Case in point...

What we should be debating is after Karlsson, Turris and Ryan, who are going to be the alternate alternates.

Yes, I fully agree. I get that many think Methot is a good leader, but it has already been proven that when Neil and Philly are out, the A's go to Turris and Ryan.

So. The real debate then. You'd have to think the hierarchy after Kyle and Bobby would go Methot -> MacArthur -> Greening.

Neil for sure, Phillips is more than likely gonna be bought out, but I hope the next one goes to Methot!

The chances of Phillips getting bought out is 0.0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000001%

In other words, it literally has no chances of happening.

What is more likely to happen is he either just sits out for the rest of the season or he just plays a couple of games as a bottom pairing dman who plays really low minutes.

His contract expires after this season, so there is absolutely no ****ing point to buy him out.

Macarthur and Methot are next. Then Michalek and maybe Smith, but that means you're having a bad season with lots of injuries and thy're just giving A's to veterans.

If we look a few years down the road. Stone and Borowecki will get one before Zibby or Pageau. Lazar could spend his entire career here without wearing a letter if the team is built around Karlsson-Methot, Turris-Stone, Zibby-Ryan.

Um...what? Greening is like 20th on my list.

I think Turris and Ryan should have the As. Phillips and Neil should make way for the next generation.

I'd have Methot next.

This another version of south side vs north side?

This is the feel-good generation. Everyone gets a letter on their jerseys. :sarcasm:

It would make no sense for the send to buy out Phillips. If he plays hell have an a. If he doesn't he'll probably be on ltir. Even if not its more logical just to pay his salary this season than split it over.the next couple.

Ya, it's past the point of buyout now, since the team doesn't have to pay him while he’s injured, so he might come in handy towards the end of the season if there are injuries, other than that, he might be used to mentor the young guns, but doubt he’d be up to speed while were fighting for a Playoff spot.

I believe his playing days are over. Too bad, I love what he’s done for the team for almost 2 decades!
