Title says it all. I think it's funny in PGTs around the site you constantly see "x is the dirtiest team in the league" or "y gets away with more than any other team". I wonder if there is actually a consensus of which team is the dirtiest or if it varies more by rivalries/who you play more often.

Not trying to start anything - just genuinely curious as to how this turns out.

Whoever my team is playing that night isn't an option. I mean they take a lot of penalties that the refs (obviously paid off) ignore, then they call a bunch of bs penalties on my team. :sarcasm:

Blues then Boston
The Blues have Bortuzzo.

That's....that's about it. I know Barbashev gave the Sharks a couple of boo-boos in the playoffs last year, but he's not a dirty player. Bortuzzo is our only dirty player.

This is why I prefer to talk about individual players and not teams as a whole. There are dirty players in the league, but there isn't really a team that sticks out as being overly dirty.

Eh any player that goes for headshots counts as dirty in my eyes and yes I view Kane as dirty

I’d say Tampa. Kucherov one of the low key dirtiest players in the game and Cernak following in his foot steps.

It also depends on what games someone watches. I don't watch all 31 teams and I'm pretty sure no one does (or has time to). A lot of dirty stuff doesn't end up in highlights, only the worst. A lot goes uncalled...
So, it goes a lot by what we see but bias is possible too. I agree, we'll see how this turns out.

Vegas imo is one of the most underrated dirtiest teams in the league. Last year in playoffs they were easily the dirtiest. Dunno why Boston is getting so many votes. I've watched probably 20 of their games this year and they really don't play that brand of hockey.

Teams just aren’t as dirty as the used to be even as recently as 5 years ago. Like the ducks and blues of those days. Marchand and I suppose some would say chara don’t seem like enough to call that whole team dirty. Maybe Washington. Meh.

I can't even fathom how someone would say Vegas was dirtier than San Jose last year. Between the Thornton suspension, Meier jumping Eakin and driving his jaw into the ice at the end of a blowout, Haley being an annoying gnat trying to pull Reaves off the bench and all of Kane's antics.

Plus all the diving by Sorensen and a few others.

You'd have to have your head buried deep in the sand.
