What kind of a team are the Jackets really?

I was encouraged by what I saw last night. They looked like the better team even if the results don't back it up. They'll win that game 7 out of 10 times.

Losing a forward definitely didn't help. Neutered our 4th line, which is where our third period success comes from. I'm not going to hold that against them.

I feel so much less worried about the team since last game.

All the annoying things from recent weeks - slow on the forecheck, losing puck battles, no one jamming the net - it all went back to December last night.

I think the team is a good team with a good mix of youth and experience and coaching that was playing way beyond their skill level against opponents that weren't ready to match it. An we were healthy.

Post streak there have been injuries, teams have had time to watch "tape" and discover weaknesses and in the case of last night's game simply have more experience on the ice to play a tight, unforgiving game and get that one extra winning goal.
