Almost as terrible a no-call as the Emerson goal. Just embarrassing to watch, even all these years later.

Yep a lot of stuff like that. People clinging on to the past must have forgot all the bad things from then.. there was a lot of it.

How hasn't this one been mentioned yet?

Yeah My "favorite" part is when the NHL came out with the explanation after the fact: oh you can technically have your skate in the crease if it's a rebound/possession

Except they literally went the ENTIRE year with "you better not have the toe of your skate in the crease or else this goal won't count"

You're missing the part where every team in the league got a memo explaining that rule change before the playoffs, and the Sabres organization insisted they knew of no such thing until they were publicly shown to have lied about that detail, including Lindy Ruff perpetuating that lie at a fan rally AFTER reports showed he had received said memo.

Hilarious. No wait. Disgraceful.

Chris Osgood letting one in from center ice is rather brutal.

Came to post this. Not only from center ice, it wasn't even on goal. He deflected into his own net. He let a couple goals in from center ice that postseason. Macinnis got him too.

I'd have to say Bieksa's OT goal to send the Canucks to the cup final. Though I don't think the Sharks would have come back anyway, but still...kinda a s***ty way to get eliminated.

It's pretty entertaining how absurd that play was though.
Someone needs to photoshop the stanchion onto this pic:

Don't forget the Roenick shot from the blue line in game 3, round 1 with the series tied 1-1. Osgood had some weird issues with long-range goals that year.

At least with the Macinnis shot you COULD argue that the guy surprised him because his shot was so fast. The other two had no excuse.

Someone posted it already but it was the 2016 WCQF Blues vs Blackhawks Game 1. 0-0 going into OT, absolutely snooze fest of a game, fluke goal goes in from Backes.

One of the worst games I have seen.

Any shot from the blue line through traffic. They are all tied for the worst overtime goal.

56 saves, standing on his head, into double OT, on the brink of elimination... and then it ends like this:

Looking at the ref during play...

With a trip to the Finals on the line no less. He shut the door in Game 6 though.

The fireworks out of the jumbotron were sickkk..

Also the names on those stars jerseys. Lehtinen, Langenbrunner, Zubov, Hatcher, Carbenneau, Ludwig, Belfor.

It's like a 90's NHL orgasm.
