Even when they actually talk to someone in an organization? You or I or anyone can blast them about their opinions but they have press passes which means they get to hang around the scouts which means conversations. That one Vegas scout may not hold the majority opinion but it's interesting to know what the opinions are out there. Pieces of a puzzle if you will.

I don't think a Vegas scout would leak their expansion draft strategy to someone with a Denver press credential.

Most likely it's just idle chit chat and wild speculation being passed on as something greater than it is. If not, I guess we should be happy a conference rival hires idiot staff.
