How can anyone watch this USC team under Lincoln Riley and think that they’re going anywhere anytime soon? They don’t play defense. They don’t execute in crunch time. They’re an absolute disgrace. USC should have went for a coach that prioritizes defense. Their program isn’t going anywhere playing like this. They still can’t even beat UCLA let alone make a CFP.

This arguments gonna be moot in three minutes of gametime if USC can't figure out defense.

They’re not ever gonna figure out defense with this head coach. Gonna be the same team every year needing 50 pts every week to win.

This comment seems inappropriate now.

Even if it were true Lincoln has made USC very good, very fast! Defense can get better with another offseason in the portal. Offense is LOADED

GO HOME BRUINS!

The other thing that must be mentioned is how poorly Caleb Williams performed in the clutch today. Yes USC might win but it wasn’t impressive and there’s no way they deserve to make the playoff even if they win out. They simply aren’t good enough.

Were we watching the same game Caleb put up a shitload of TD's today

Your anti-USC bias is very odd but the only thing you've been correct on is they don't play D. That can be fixed in the offseason.

Not gonna be addressed in the offseason. It’s not Lincoln Riley’s way. This is gonna be the same theme for them for the foreseeable future. Need shootouts to win every week.

Lincoln Riley and USC are going to the Pac-12 title game, in Linc's first year!

What a turnaround!

"CALEB WILLIAMS HAD A HORRIBLE GAME"

He was awful in the key drive that would have put away the game, that’s what I meant by crunch time. Obviously throughout the game as a whole he put up video game #s against another putrid PAc12 defense.

all i see is the scoreboard

48-45 the final from pasadena. usc wins it :)

and YES we can critique USC. USC has had a light ass schedule. This was USC's biggest ranked win of the year in a year they skated past Oregon and lost in a shootout to the other good team in the PAC 12 Utah. (although oregon state gave them a scare too)

That said USC being as bad as they were under Helton and then improving to make the pac 12 game in Lincoln's first year, makes me very proud to be a USC fan. Fight on!

Yes and no. BYU overcame a 20 point deficit in the 1980 Holiday Bowl (google it!) vs SMU in the last 2:33. The NCAA didn't count bowl stats towards player and team stats prior to 2002.
That was one of the challenges in one of the old EA NCAA games. It was a bitch.

Bo Nix is picked off after a 50-yard play. Clark Phillips is going to make an nfl team very happy.

Utah will get the ball back after a 3 and out. Only need a field goal to tie.

Rising is asking for another interception.

So right now
1)Georgia
2)OSU/MU winner
3)TCU
4) Wide the f*** open. (OSU if they lose, LSU if they beat Georgia, then.....
Clemson?)

It might be counterintuitive with teams ahead of them losing and shutting out inferior opposition, but this has been a very bad day for Bama with Tennessee and Ole Miss both getting blasted.

I don't think any team is guaranteed at this point. Georgia is the only team that can really afford one loss.

The official rankings after yesterday should be:

1. Ga.
2. OSU
3. MU
4. TCU
5. LSU
6. USC
7/8. Clemson/Bama
9. Tennessee

The OSU/MU game is really interesting as it seems to be presumed that only OSU could still make it with a loss given their win over ND and MU's weak out of conference schedule.

I think a close loss by MU puts them behind an undefeated TCU, a one loss USC, and a 2-loss LSU but ahead of a one loss Clemson.

Would love to see the chaos that an upset by GT over Georgia would open up. Throw in losses by TCU (in the conf. champ), USC (to ND) and Clemson (to either SC or NC) and the loser of OSU/MU is in for sure then #4 becomes even more wide open.

Could Oregon get in with a Pac 12 championship?

Would a 2-loss Georgia still make it?

The only team who can get in with 2 losses is LSU.

A 1-loss USC gets in over a 1-loss Michigan or 1-loss TCU. Caleb Williams may be in for the Heisman and that will be a factor. They will end up ahead of LSU either this week or next because of opponents.

Oregon is out. They still need Washington to lose and the Beavs can beat still beat them.

Clemson seems to be at the back of the line with of 1-loss teams, but at least South Carolina would seem to be a quality win next week.
