We had too many fanboys to correct the ship this season. Maybe something positive can come from humiliation and the "come in peace" posts that will be incoming. We deserve everything they got... and more.

There were so many things that could have been done to better prepare for this series if there was the will for it. Stop attacking posters for pointing out shit about hockey they have learned over many years for starters. It's not about feelings.

Woodcroft was a good story but we have players who refuse to play his system. And that's beyond the upgrades we need and the contracts we need to dump.

Heading forward we need a miracle with Nurse. Maybe he gets the surgery he needs and makes me eat every crow in Edmonton.

I'm a big believer in investing in goaltending. Very hard to ride the waves of inconsistent last line of defense. Personally I'd rather credit an elite team handing the Oilers their lunch than pick apart the Oilers. Edmonton has over achieved and building up the quality pieces to legitimate play at the Final Four level. Woodcroft tried to 'pull some levers' tonight but Colorado has been faster, better and more skilled. They have been building for these games and moments longer.

Which makes it even more infuriating that Holland the genius passed on Wallstedt, who might well come over this next season. Just so much stupidity in that front office.
