It looks like Pätzöld has been brought in. Straight from the airport? ;) Strange, it didn't seem like Kotschnew and Jonas were the biggest problems in the team. Third game, third goalie...

All these penalties are killing me.

At least the Germans scored two pp goals but has there even been 5 on 5 hockey?

    Terrible.

Well, at least this period is not boring.

    The Germans kinda collapsed there.

Both the defense and Grotnes are not exactly having their best day at the office.

The German commentator is terrible. After that little bit of pushing:
"That's not what real hockey fans want to see."

    Argghh.
    I WANT to see intensity.

Game could be a lot closer but like Butcher wrote the norwegian defense and goalie look quite shaky.

    Who's their second goalie?

Mathias Gundersen. But even if it was a sack of potatoes I would replace Grotnes with it.

The comment wasn't as bad as you make it out to be ;)

Though one really notices that ARD and ZDF have no hockey people. I'd love to see the World Championships back at Eurosport. Büttner and whoever was the second guy did a great job at the Olympics.

Exactly - because they live and breath hockey .... not that casual what-are-they-doing- announcers of the mentioned channels.

Anyway: Hackert player of the game :handclap: way to go Michi! :D

unfortunately I was at the office that time with the IIHF ticker driving me crazy .. pop up .. pop up ... pop up ... pop up!
Thank god my boss is outa office today

The announcer apparently didn't know that the stick needs to be below the crossbar, not below the shoulder ...

And yes, the Eurosport announcers are the best...

    yep, straight to mannheim! :D

i was really disappointed by norway. i've seen both of their first games and i was really impressed. they looked much better than today.

grotnes was great against canada, but today...

looks like norway spent too much energy against slovakia and canada. something they have to learn. save your energy for the important games.
