September 27 vs. St. Louis Blues at Enterprise Center
Time: 8:00 p.m.

TV: NBCSW

Radio: Capitals Radio 24/7

The Caps conclude a two-game preseason road trip on Friday night in St. Louis against the Blues, the second exhibition match between the NHL's two most recent Stanley Cup champions. Washington downed the Blues 3-2 in Washington on Sept. 18 in the first of those two meetings.

Washington brought a total of 34 players with it on this two-game trip to the Midwest, and most of those players are going to see game action. The Caps head home immediately after Friday's game with the Blues, and they'll conduct a Saturday practice session at MedStar Capitals Iceplex before finishing off their preseason slate on Sunday afternoon against the Hurricanes in Carolina.

This is a weird GDT. There is like game set up stuff to read and so forth. I am not sure I can get used to it.

tl;dr

Beck cements his opening night lineup place tonight. Unless, of course, he doesn't play or got sent down already and I missed it.

Caps are great at social media, like one of the best teams out there, but man do they stink at releasing lineups to things like games, dev camps, rookie camps, etc.

Here is the Blues roster for tonight if anyone cares:

PROJECTED ROSTER
Forwards:
Ivan Barbashev, Tyler Bozak, Mackenzie MacEachern, Jordan Nolan, Ryan Olsen, Austin Poganski, Zach Sanford, Brayden Schenn, Jaden Schwartz, Alexander Steen, Vladimir Tarasenko, Nathan Walker.
Defense: Andreas Borgman, Jay Bouwmeester, Justin Faulk, Niko Mikkola, Alex Pietrangelo, Mitch Reinke
Goalies: Ville Husso, Adam Wilcox

I like Beck, but there is 0,000% chance he makes the team out of the camp. Sure. He will see the NHL ice one day.

He outplayed every Caps bottom six forward except Boyd and Panik. And it wasn't even close. Also, the Caps need cap space and Beck is much cheaper than most of them. There's no reason why he shouldn't make the team.

Sounds to me like 'Snively outplayed Ovechkin'. A pitty Beck can't take Eller's place.

Going to be several last chances to make impressions for a lot tonight:
Stephenson
Malenstyn
Leipsic
Gersich
Boyd
O’Brien
Sgarbossa
Pinho

Fehervary
Lewington

Vanacek

assuming last game vs. CAR will be pretty much the season opener lineup

looking forward to see how Orlov/Jensen and Djoos/Gudas work as pairs
