Not really. 3rd round pick playing full time at 21. Plenty of third rounders don’t even make it. Plus Caps system. Some incredible Hershey time. 4th line last year. Now lots of middle 6 minutes. I’m pleased.

Exactly, it's actually been astoundingly quick, shows his hockey IQ is there and his frame can do a lot more once he realizes that. Dude plays a solid game, has good defense, and is producing... and is also huge. If all he ever becomes is Brian Boyle that's still pretty good, that guy made plays and haunted us off and on for years... if he blows up he's got unique potential.

True. He is our best defensive defenseman. But plays that old game like OV and Oshie. Tight checking and not really moving the puck well.

Orpik-lite, but it's been working and he does bring something not measured directly in statistics in the same way. He's one of the only devoted crease clearing defensemen they really have. Fever is sort of the new age version but Edmundson knows how to shove.
