Somehow Hockey Canada turned Worlds more tempting for NHL players and now big stars coming for them. Specially early 2010s their rosters was average aswell.

Looks like Brandon Saad is not going - likely means Kane isn't going to play as well..

That was expected but Tkachuk (Matthew) confirmed that he won't be playing at the Worlds.

Saad is getting married this summer. The wedding must have been scheduled during the SC playoffs...I guess he wasn't expecting the Hawks to make the postseason.

He could definitely have used the tournament to work on his game.

DeBrincat is going:



Schmaltz undecided still.

Dvorak has a back injury so I'm guessing he is out as well. Stepan injured too.

Larkin, DeBrincat, Kreider and Mittelstadt. Not bad but unfortunately again many guys declined so college kids have to fill those spots. It is also good thing of course but they really have to deliver this year if they want to come home with medal.
