Thing I'm most excited for is the hope that Cutelaba gets knocked out again.

Ribas vs Chookagian is a weird one. #1 contender vs #9 in a different division?

Would love to see Johnson get another win.

And always excited to see MVP. Hes the most fun fighter going this week in my opinion.

Will be watching Daley's last one here. Storley/Page and Machida/Edwards are worth watching. Probably will be skipping the rest.

I'm not sure how exciting it will be, but Blachowicz v Rakic is a great fight. Spann/Cutelaba & Grant/Smolka will both be fun.

Maximov & Angela Hill both kind of buried here. Michael Johnson still kicking around too. Decent undercard.

UFC card is kind of weird for being a ESPN card. Some solid fights and names throughout, but there's not really a hook for casual fans that might watch it on ESPN. Seems more like a good Fight Night than ESPN.

Michael Johnson, even at this stage in his career, is SO much faster than Alan Patrick. I think Michael gets the W. Just can’t let Patrick get him down

I would assume loser gets cut. Johnson has (had?) all the tools to be such an exciting high level fighter. Lightening fast hands, some good power in the hands, high end wrestling, and good size for the division. He's beat some huge names in Ferguson, Poirier, and Barboza and I always wanted to see him succeed at the top. He seems like someone who just didn't improve over time though. Lots of guys get better with experience and learn to develop better fight IQ but not him. He stayed stationary in his skill set and got leapfrogged.

I honestly saw him as a potential champion when I saw him early in his career.

As more time has passed I really wonder if the Blackzilians were just a really bad camp for alot of guys. Michael Johson and Rashad (after the Jones loss) both should have had more success based on their skills but they just couldn't really put it together. Guys like Thiago Silva & Cezar Ferreira both flamed out pretty quickly. Anthony Johnson had some of the best raw skills we've ever seen in MMA, but nobody rounded out his game properly. Usman was more of just a wrestler during his time there and only really developed after he left.

Like, I know he lost to Jon Jones but there's no way an early 30s version of Rashad should have been losing to some of the guys he did after that.

They did give me my favorite season of TUF though, so there's that.

Yeah Blackzillians were a HORRIBLE team. From what I know the owner had no MMA experience/knowledge, just had money and convinced the guys (fighters and coaches) to join by throwing the money at them. It was rooted in business/leisure not in MMA experience. A lot of guys could have had different career paths if they went to different gyms/coaches.

But, you can also say that about a lot of places right. Maybe the Chute guys would have had different careers if they didn't spar so aggressively. Maybe Team Alpha Male would be better if they didn't hate Dom/TJ so much, etc. Maybe some Blackzillian guys wouldn't have made the UFC if they weren't surrounded by high end talent. Hindsight is always 20/20.

Hate to see Machida get knocked out like that. Probably it for him.
I hope so. He was /probably is still my favorite fighter but he needs to hang them up for his own good. I read that he was thinking about going back to the UFC after this contract is up. Buddy just call it a day and teach karate seminars or something lol

That should be 49-46 Storley IMO but it's Bellator and MVP somehow stole what I thought was a 30-27 Lima rematch, so who the hell knows

I had it 48-47 Storley, I could fathom a Page scorecard though as wrestling with minimal offense doesn’t count for much these days

Darrion Caldwell lost a decision against *i believe* Leandro Higo while having top control for the majority of the fight. Lay n Pray isn’t rewarded these days
