That's too bad. Good night of fights with a disappointing end to it.

Anticlimatic but fun while it lasted. Wouldn't mind if they run it back if his knee isn't too messed up.

If it were, what would prevent fighters from faking an injury in a fight to avoid having an L on their record?
But Fiziev does have an L on his record now for a real injury. Point is how is an eye poke injury a NC instead of a DQ or a loss to the poker, and this is a loss.

Hell baby

Because one was caused by the foul of an opponent and this one was not. Gamrot still blocked the kick at the end of the day which caused Fiziev’s plant leg to buckle. With eye pokes it’s a much grayer area- they have to weigh things like intent and recklessness.

I’m salty about them not making the Malkoun fight a no-contest but I get it. Brundage has no dog in him though and I will assuredly be betting against him in his next fight. He’s a classic hammer you see on the regional scene that folds when his opponent doesn’t let him bully them. And in the UFC 95% of the people you face aren’t gonna let you bully them.

No UFC this week but a few cards I'm looking forward to, PFL Europe semifinals with non-tournament bouts featuring the PFL debuts of Doumbe, Lazy King, and Luigi Vendramini, another Rizin card (still waiting to see if Sudario/Duffee is getting moved to it), and a ONE card with an interesting title fight at the top
