How the hell do some of you not give that 2nd round to Mcgregor. He dropped Diaz twice in that round with his left, That is HUGE. Diaz was teeing off in the last 20 seconds, but most of them were pillow punches because he was so dead tired by then, not to mention Mcgregor was dodging lot of them.

Christ almighty. Have you ever boxed?

Stop calling them pillow punches. Diaz is and has always been a volume striker, only throwing majority of 60% power in his punches. You trade power for volume and accuracy and conserve energy, and a lot of punches on the target eventually= KO regardless of how much power you put into them.

Especially the way he mixes in the occasional 80% punch and full power punch. Those "pillow punches" are what set Conor up to get knocked silly in the first fight. And he was unable to recover as Nate continued to hit him with volume strikes instead of power strikes.

Diaz's 60% punches would still break your nose.

If you want to call Jake Shields "Pillow puncher" then you might have a point.

Mcgregor landed more punches in that round (I think the tally was 37-34) and scored the two knockdowns. He won that round.

The reason some people think Nate won it is that they got caught up in the excitement when after 9 straight minutes of being beat up Nate finally made a big surge.

Exactly. It's Sugar Ray trying to steal rounds from Hagler with a quick flurry of jabs at the end of each round, after eating power shots for the first 2:30 of it. Don't get fooled by a flash of hands. Watch the fight and trust your eyes.

USADA said that admitting to use is the same as a positive test, even though they tested him prior to the press conference.

I doubt they'll suspend him, maybe hit him with a fine. NSAC could also levy a sanction against him too.

Thats what happened to Lyoto and as Sonnen said Machida didnt test positive for anything including the DHEA.
