Badminton season starts soon.....

Protection doesn't work - ask Marc Savard. Milan Lucic is still watching Matt Cooke's career while Savard's is over.

You want to quench your neanderthal thirst for blood? Watch MMA. Some prefer skill over thuggery.

What is a bigass thread?

Moen cannot fight the Kassian's of the League with any success.

He can stand up for Lars Eller though.

Damned if he does. Damned if he doesnt.

Start a bigass thread so I can see an example.

So as long as no one big messes around with our skilled players, Moen is there to take charge. Wicked. Just under $2 mil to take care of middle/light weights. And I only have to watch how much poor hockey in between these chance viewings? He's ours for the year (at least), so whatever. Still possibly the most easily replaced guy in the lineup right now as far as I'm concerned (based on play and position). That's actually saying something, considering some of the experience levels involved, and my opinion of guys like Desharnais, Bouillon, etc.

If you're lucky, both Parros and Murray will start against Toronto and you'll get to see some face-punching. Maybe even a line brawl. That should make you happy.

Do you prefer seeing Orr punching on Gionta and Bourque?

Or do you prefer seeing Orr punching and getting punched by Parros?

Not really your choice to make. It's Colton Orr's choice and he could give a rats ass what you think about fighting.

Ever been hit by a shuttlecock?

Call Bergevin and offer your opinion.

Wouldnt hurt and he might even listen to you.

Honest question for you though. What would you have posted if Moen had let Eller fight Borowicki instead of stepping in and taking him on?

Ever been in a fight? Ever played organized hockey or are you just a pencil-neck wannabe hiding behind a screen. Usually those with such a blood lust for violence have never had a taste of it.

You seriously need to invest in a PVR and re-watch some of the games you post about here. Go back and review that play where bloodthirsty Borowiecki was charging right at Eller, fists raised high. Oh wait. It didn't happen. Borowiecki gave eller a tap with his stick, Eller kinda looked back like 'lol?' and that was pretty much it. It only really escalated when moen came near them. When Borowiecki realized he had a willing partner, THEN he started getting worked up and the refs had to restrain him. There's no way Borowiecki actually starts anything with Eller. The farthest it goes is some pushing. Woopty doo.

That all being said, I'll agree with you that Moen isn't nearly as useless as many on this forum purport him to be. Mostly the same ones who somehow don't see the two-way value that Gionta brings, curiously. Is Moen overpaid? Sure, a bit. A few hundred K at most. :dunno:

I'd have to see the result before I could post on the matter. Eller's bigger than Borowiecki, so who knows, maybe he actually handles himself okay in that situation. Sucks to swap 5 minute majors with a guy that's obviously much less important to his team, but if Eller can't stand in front of a guy like that for himself, then he might be more of a smurf problem than Pleks or DD.

I highly doubt it. Eller tried to fight Giroux last year, who's smaller than both and had it gone on longer Eller would have gotten destroyed.

Plekanec and Desharnais are even worse when it comes to defending themselves.

Moen did the right thing.

He can be replaced, but so can a bunch of guys.

Normally I agree with you, but this statement is out of line imo. The fact that things still happen even though there are things in place to reduce their likelihood doesn't disprove their effectiveness.

That may be true but he remains one guy, where 5 make a line. I don't think he is a saboteur. Pacioretty had 0 points in the playoffs... 0.

That's true, he was attached to a lot of other depth players last season. IMHO he just doesn't bring enough positives to justify the commitment the team has made to him.

I am sure Roulin is right about Moen last year. I know his posting and that he is informed on advanced stats. Good poster.

Thanks Boris, that means a lot coming from you

close... I am weekend warrior. Competitive judoka, who has separated their shoulder recently and helped others with shoulder injuries regularly.

Here is a good article on separated shoulders.
http://www.sportmedspecialists.com/sms-in-the-news/shoulder-articles

All Pacioretty needed is a good tape job and a bad attitude.

I see, that's how you know what it's like to be in a worldclass competitive environement and playing against the best in the world at your sport, you're a part time Judoka!

that explain everything.

Moen had better jump in his last EGames. Looking for more on the ice but I think he can be there.
He has 3rd line potential with his size and skill set. He's a bit under valued and come PO time, it's guys like him who usually show up. I also think MT can get the best out of a player like Moen. Still he needs to prove it.
