90+ goals, obviously. ;)

Mathews Fails to play 80gm.
Missing games is a performance issue.
A Fan on HF board taught me that.

Mathews is a 3.44 SH/gm player.
We see a jump to 3.77/ gm this yr.
He is a career 15.6% shot density player.

80gm x 3.77 = 301 shots x 15.6% = 47 goals.

were the issue is Transition passing.
Mcdavid reciever a lot of elite open space passes from a top 5 passer in the game. ( Draisaitl)

Draisaitl was a 2.29 shot/ gm player that yeilded shooting to over passing to Mcdavid.

Now he takes the shots that will yeild high success % open shots.
2.89 sh/gm
Yet he still has puck shielding and side board control to create amazing transition passing that stalls defence or out passes def.
The number of times Mcdavid points to Drai for elite passes has become common place.

the concern is Does Mcdavids transition goal numbers go down with Mathews inferior passing and eating of shot volume. Almost 1 more per game than Draisaitl.

Now that teams have to pay more attention to Draisaitls positioning the last 101 games
We see Mcdavids shooting % climb from 13.8% to a consistent 17.1% last 101 gm.

-Pocession by player requires real analysis.
- Passing
- shot volume
- shot density

we shall see if Mathews can play 80 gm Per season in next 2 seasons.

I wonder if Drai can become the 12th player to have 3 - 50G 105P seasons in a career.

Active players 50+ G 105+ P seasons
Ovechkin 4
Crosby 1
Malkin 1
Draisaitl 1

The funny thing about this post is that Draisaitl is currently outscoring McDavid. So if we give Matthews a McDavid does he outscore McDavid too? Looks like we're back to the old "Is Matthews > McDavid?" beginning of November debate.

The leafs drive time crowd said Mathews is not in the same class as
Ovechkin, Crosby, Mcdavid, Draisaitl.

They are huge Leafs Kool aid Crowd.
The argument is over!

Pittsburgh
The Buffalo Sabres offer Ryan O'Reilly 7.5 cap, Rasmus Ristolainen 5.4, Colin Miller 3.5, first round 2020 and Dylan Cozens for

German Gretz and Russell

O'Reilly is on a good deal, perfect defensive stopper, really is a prime piece. Please return our call before we take Tage Thompson!!!!!!
