Idk if this has been posted yet, but the framework of a deal for Kane has not been agreed upon yet and there's still a possibility that Kane doesn't get traded.

Not sure if it was that article or not, but also read one that the Rangers 2024 1st is in the possible return if the deal does go through.

Nice. KD pulling some leverage back and letting the media know.

Can someone with an athletic sub cliff notes for us.

I would see if Dallas is interested in Murphy. Take back Faska & Collin Miller to make money work. Package of Domi/Murphy for Faska/Miller/Khudobin is a wash for cap and then it is a matter of what assets you can extract for doing the Stars a favor of upgrade to Murphy over Miller (while also getting rid of 2 more years of bad cap in Faska at this point) and then a payment for Domi. I would be looking for a first and nice prospect for value as the sweetner.

Likewise Edmonton combo of Ceci/Puljuarvi matchup well in cap for Murphy/Domi and then you figure out what picks/prospects give the Hawks value.

Both moves swap 3 more years of Murphy for a D with lesser length. Just not a fan of Murphy and get the feeling Davidson would like to move on from that Bowman signing.

Still have the Kane deal to be finalized...that will undoubtly both cost us and save us $5.250 mill...add that to our already $4.5 mill cap space, that’s our real deal maker...Hawks will probably have $9 mill to offer out as a ‘third party’ trade partner

It doesn’t sound like the Blackhawks and Rangers have finalized what exactly is going to be in the trade. Kane is obviously going the Rangers’ way. The Blackhawks aren’t expected to get what they were hoping for in exchange for Kane when this whole process began. The Rangers aren’t giving up a first-round pick and a quality prospect. That seems to be pretty certain.

As for Kane, he’s been back in Chicago since Saturday while the team remains on a West Coast swing. Kane appears to be remaining active in case he either rejoins game action with the Blackhawks or Rangers later this week.

The Blackhawks are eager to have a resolution one way or another. No one has come out and said Kane has waived his no-movement clause, but as long as the deal can happen logistically, it’s believed Kane will accept it. If it doesn’t happen for some reason, Kane isn’t expected to find another suitor. He would likely finish out the season with the Blackhawks.

After Friday someone needs to create a woody harrelson meme but Davidson's head and instead of wiping his tears with money it's the other teams 1st, 2nd and 3rd round draft picks.

Not enough!
I’m guessing
2024 top 10 protected first rounder
2023 2nd rounder
The Dallas 2024 4th/3rd rounder from the Lundqvist trade
5th or 6th rounder in 2024 or 2025 to make up for those weird late picks we sent to TOR.

Wonder if the hawks can or want to move Murphy
KD is open for business.

If someone puts a good offer on the table, he's gone.

But I also don't think they're actively trading him. They still need to ice a roster, and Murphy plays lots of minutes.
