Zawaski claims that a first rounder (2023 or 2024) is not off the table per his Hawks source. He also claims we should expect “multiple picks” coming back.

Zawaski said he told the source that Drury said no first rounder, the response was “Dubas said the same thing about O’Rielly”
This is good to hear. He's one of the few Hawk sources that seems to know what's going on.

Seeing Blues and Preds GM's load up on future and then seeing questionable performance from our GM and growing concern over if he can even land a single asset in Kane trade among others really drives home the point that honeymoon for Davidson is over

This was supposed to be his big moment when he would trade assts like Kane, Domi, Lafferty, McCabe and potentially a couple others to load up for future

Davidson has a week to show he is capable of doing this job. If he fails, then fans have every right to call for his head and turn against his so-called plan for organization

And none of them will be useful players/pieces by the time the Hawks are becoming competitive again in 2 to 3 years, yet they are good enough in the meantime to keep the team in the purgatory of not (remotely) good enough to make the playoffs but still possibily helping winning enough to get out of the top 3-5 draft picks.

All 4 should be traded this week unless somehow there is no legit market for Laffery or McCabe. Only way Kane or Domi should be back next year is on deals that make them flipable again next deadline.

Lafferty and McCabe will still have value in the offseason and next trade deadline tho. You cant take lowball offers on them.

As for Domi. Somebody has to play minutes next year. Dickinson cant be your first line center if you want Reichel to have a shot at succeeding. Kane is going to do what he wants.

Bolded = People said same thing about Kubalik and Murphy

Flash forward and we ended up with nothing for Kubalik and Murphy is untradable.

Also, Lafferty and McCabe have more value in season as trade options right now because teams would get 2 playoff runs out of Lafferty and 3 out of McCabe potentially if they trade for them. In offseason that is not true and thus value takes hit

And Domi can come back as UFA, No reason not to trade him for asset.

And we can find another C via FA or trade (Teams will be scrambling with cap situation so some good players may become available)

If Domi isn't traded its another damning indictment of Davidson

Lafferty will never be worth more than he is now.

I'm having a real tough time figuring out what McCabe may be worth with so mny dmen probably availble on his side, but I don't want KD to take another 2nd for him.

Have you thought about how youre going to be calling him yet? Sure seems like youve decided on the rest.

'Stanley' will be hard to beat.

KD has done alright so far.
He may have been able to get more for Debrincat but a 1st (top 10), 2nd, and 3rd is not horrible.
They turned that 1st into Korchinski and the 2nd into Ludwinski.
The 3rd is in 2024 so we'll see but if his name ends with -inski it'll be hilarious.
