damn. all of them will probably have late 1sts. hoping ceci goes to edm though. chiraelli is pretty dumb too.
I would also do Ceci for pool party and pick if it's on the table

We are probably losing both, one for sure. We aren't going to get any pieces even remotely close in value as our own 1st in either trade. If we were offered that pick from Colorado for either or we would take it and run.I think there would be reluctance to get rid of Stone or Duchene. But at this point I don't even know if we can get any decent seasons during their primes.

Define good return?I think it's crucial we sign Stone. It would suck to lose Duche but he would net a good return and he isn't much of a leader imo.

26th overall + Young Bottom 6 player + B prospect?
Sign and trades don't happen, especially at the deadline heading into UFA.I would push for a sign and trade. I think duche would be stoked to go there

Nashville isn't going to trade a top D in the league for Duchene.Nashville has a projected cap space of 6.5 million next year not enough to sign Duche thats for sure
Duche signed 9x8 for Subbhan at 9 Mill
Nashville isn't going to trade a top D in the league for Duchene.
Duchene isn't going to negotiate a contract prior to UFA period.
We are going to get a rental return, that's it.
He came 3rd for the Norris last year...I don't think PK is a top D. Plus Nashville have more then enough D's. With Duche, Johansson and Turris they may be able to win the cup. PK fills the stadium in Ottawa
The best player traded away from a contender getting a rental last season was Namestnikov from Tampa, that's about as good as we are going to ask for in regards to NHL players
No team trading for a playoff run at the deadline is going to give up a good player, let alone a guy like Subban. It just isn't happening
That was done in November, and was a move between 2 contending teams in Ottawa and Nashville. Turris wanted to remain here, we assume Duchene does not. Ottawa needed certain pieces from Nashville that was contingent on getting Duchene. Without an extension, Colorado doesn't receive Girard/Kamenev/2nd which was needed for us to get Duchene. Nashville never gave up big pieces from their roster. The scenario isn't remotely similar. You say sign and trades don't happen but turris went from ottawa to nashville with a brand new contract. I push the idea of a sign and trade with duchene's agent as much as I can because 1) he'll be happy there 2) he gets a nice contract (because subban is coming the other way). I think Duche and Subban are on the same level imo

This is a deadline trade, with 4 months until he hits UFA.
The last thing a contending team is going to do at the deadline is trade a Norris Trophy candidate. Makes zero sense.
Once again Dorion will be trading from a position of weakness.Forced to trade a pending UFA. He'll likely just get get a late 1st rounder or 2nd round pick for Duchene.
Can anybody confirm that this is accurate from today's Question Period? Thanks.
Garrioch claims:
-Dzingel is being shopped, the Sens want a 1st.
-Teams are calling about and/or the Sens are shopping Ceci/Smith/Anderson
-A deal is close, and this losing streak might expedite a member of the core being moved
Coyle has a case of boedker syndrome. His best games usually come against Ottawa.Paul Fenton stayed the extra day for a glimpse, we probably like Coyle
