I've seen a lot worse than their Kane-Toews-Cat-Jones core. Still time to add a few pieces as well.

I can definitely see why they are doing it. They are getting close to the end of the road. They don't have 7 years ahead of them. It's win now or rebuild/retool. They are trying to win now and will deal with the consequences later.

Man Perry is not a key player. I get it he's been really good for us and has been a leader but this could have been a 1 year thing with him. Perhaps he will re-sign at around 1.5m~ for a year but that's pretty much it.

1.5m is nothing. for a year... That's like the bare minimum for a 4th liner

...perhaps you didn't read the BUY LOW I had in caps...this is Bargain Bin's opportunity to pay almost nothing for Schmidt because Vancouver HAS to get rid of his contract...
