Are Leaf fans happy about this deal? Up till yesterday fans wanted Marners head for asking 11ish mill... and now its reality and going thru alot of this thread, it seems like alot of fans are estatic

They'll all outscore your best player this season, so yes.41 million tied up on 4 players is a good deal?
Made more than Barkov and MacKinnon inflated. Got almost a million more than Larkin who signed the same year.
He got overpaid, and that as a non-top 3 player on his team, which was already doing successful.
In reality, Dubas should've had all the leverage in that negotiation, and he still ****ed it up. Even if you think it was a minor overpayment, it shouldn't have been any overpayment at all considering the circumstances. Nylander should've been begging Dubas to give him any kind of money for the year.
Dubas is good at the drafting and trading side of things but he's brutal at signings. The Leafs will have what? Three of the five highest players in the league? And then Nylander.
It's hard to imagine how anyone could have done worse on this.
The window looks like it is the next few years. The team should be really strong for those years though.
Uh ohhhhhhhThey'll all outscore your best player this season, so yes.
They should be happy. Their best player just got locked up for less than Matthews and Tavares. Are Leaf fans happy about this deal? Up till yesterday fans wanted Marners head for asking 11ish mill... and now its reality and going thru alot of this thread, it seems like alot of fans are estatic
Cheers. Is Kaprizov expected in the lineup this year? Excited to see him play.Being a Minnesotan fan I always thought we had die-hard fans, but Toronto created a 48 page thread in under 3 hours after an RFA resigned. Our whole team discussion didn’t have that many replies all year last year. You guys are hardo. Good for you
Of course you won the lottery earlier though like the Bruins trio.I almost won the lottery needed 4 more correct numbers.
Man,imagine living in this world.Almost an $11 million AAV!
Had you told Leaf fans at the beginning of the summer this would have been the deal they would have tarred and feathered Dubas. I guess the 'leaks' served their purpose of preparing the fans so they could say, hey it's not as bad as we were expecting.
They'll all outscore your best player this season, so yes.
He was public enemy #1 when he was at 11 x 8. 10.9 x 6 which I think is a better deal for Mitch when he cashes in again in 6 years at just 100k less AAV. I would imagine he would still be in the doghouse. But who knows. Fans can be a fickle lot.I assume Mitch is still public enemy number 1 in TO? Fans have been livid with his demands and just under 11 mill is crazy.
I'm just in shock where salaries are going in this league without the cap significantly raising much lately
Honest question: if Dubas put any of Tavares, Marner, Matthews and Nylander on the trading block, with their current contracts, do you think they'd last a week before getting serious offers?
When Kevin Hayes is getting $7 million and Trouba getting $8 million, no it's not sarcasm
MOD NOTE: we're not going to allow this thread to go sideways because of certain fans. Follow the rules - no exceptions.
Don’t know if this should be in megathread, but this is big ****. Hopefully speeds the rfa standstill up.
Update:
Good to see this saga end. Hope the other RFAs follow up quickly.
PS: Sureloss of cp gets his info quick

Still under contract in Russia. Barring a lockout, it’s almost certain he is on the team next year.Cheers. Is Kaprizov expected in the lineup this year? Excited to see him play.
