1. Buchnevich
2. Vesey
3. Skjei
4. Shestyorkin
5. Graves
6. Gropp
7. Kovacs
8. Day
9. Fogarty
10. Reunanen
IMO, Shestyorkin should be no lower than 4 on this list and perhaps higher. He is a blue chip goalie prospect.
1 Buchnevich
2 Skeij
3 Vesey
4 Graves
5 Hrivik
6 Jensen
7 Gropp
8 Kovacs
9 Stromwall
10 Nieves
Purposely left off goalies. Have't seen Shesty play and only very limited viewings of Halvy.
Surprised Hrivik & Jensen aren't getting more love on these lists.
In my mind, Hrivik has already proven that he can play 4th line NHL minutes. He can play both Center & Wing. He could easily be the new Dom Moore, except less selfish. When paired with someone who has a finishing touch (Jensen), Hrivik has proven to be an adequate set-up man as well. Management enjoyed what he did in his 5 games last year and has told him he's close. All in all, he may not be a sexy choice...but we know he can play. Jensen's smooth skating ability and ability to finish shouldn't be overlooked, either. He has Top 9 upside.
havent really seen shesty, but werent all of his stats at a really low level of competition?
1. Buchnevich
2. Skjei
3. Vesey
4. Graves
5. Gropp
6. Kovacs
7. Halverson
8. Shestyorkin
9. Tambellini
10. Fogarty
11. Nieves
12. Day
Buch, Skjei and Vesey have legit shots to come off the list by season's end.
Graves is criminally underrated and should get a look this season.
I think that's fair to say, VHL is lower level from AHL. This why I personally think Halverson isn't far off from Shesty at this point. A year from now we'll have a much better idea.havent really seen shesty, but werent all of his stats at a really low level of competition?
Our prospect pool is going to look pretty bad after this year. It's when the lack of first round picks will really start to bite us. Wouldn't be surprised if Day has a great year, similar to Duclair, and jumps to #1 with those top 3 guys graduating.
This is not Vancouver. Rangers have been consistently producing 1 player per draft and that's on top of signing UFAs like Zuc, Hayes, Vesey, and Talbot. Our prospect pool is going to look pretty bad after this year. Shestyorkin completely sold me when he stood on his head in the WJC.
