The original top 5 draft order was:
1. Matthews
2. Liane
3. Dubois
4. Puljujarvi
5. Juolevi

I know it's really early but I would argue that only 2 of the original players would be in the top 5 in a redraft, as I would have it

1. Matthews
2. Liane
3. Tkachuk
4. Sergachev
5. McAvoy

I would put McAvoy at 3rd at the moment.

1)Matthews
2)Laine
3)McAvoy
4)Tkachuk
5)Keller
Hm: Sergachev

No way Tkachuk goes above McAvoy/Serg in a redraft. That’s no slight on Tkachuk though but factor in their positions and it should be easy

If I had to rank them:

1-5
Matthews
Laine
McAvoy
Keller
Tkachuk

6-10
Bratt*
Sergachev
Fox
Puljujarvi
Dubois

3-7 is really a tossup for me, I think it's easiest to think of this group in tiers.

Tier 1
Matthews
Laine

Tier 2
McAvoy
Keller
Tkachuk
Bratt*
Sergachev
Fox

Tier 3
Puljujarvi
Dubois
Brown
Girard
Debrincat
Borgstrom
Thompson
Chychrun

Tier 4
Just
Kunin
Juolevi
Nylander

I'm probably missing a few notables, that's just off the top of my head.

*Homer voted, but he's very easily been our 2nd best forward this year. He's been by far our best defensive / all around winger, while being our 2nd most dangerous offensive player and smartest all around player. He's 2nd in team scoring on a 55 point pace, despite the fact that he's played like half of the year on the 3rd/4th lines. He plays in all situations - roughly 4 mins on special teams every night, split almost evenly, so he's only getting about 12 mins of ES TOI per game. His the best half-wall PP setup man I think we've ever had, and arguably our best PK man as well (though Gibbons has been stellar), his composure and anticipation are off the charts.

imo. I am pretty high on McAvoy and Keller, but I think Matthews and Laine have their spots pretty much locked down for life

Not sure about McAvoy but he'll go before Sergachev.....Tkachuk is a player, more than just the numbers

I am not going to post the remaining only to mention I think Michael Mcleod will eventually end up top 10. Just to bring a fresh projection here. I think he fits the Devils new Castron/Shero vision of players.

Laine isn't going to go #1 in a redraft at any point, but definitely not now

This draft needs more time to really do a redraft as not all players are going to develop the same.

tough. I'd say 2 or 3 depending on who slides in at #5

Matthews
Laine
McAvoy
Tkachuk

Keller/Sergachev/PLD/

Vancouver and Edmonton keep up their awful draft records by the looks of it
