The excuse would be that they don't like memes on BoH, but the real reason would be that the mod team there is irredeemably biased against southern teams.

It's all fun and games till somebody breaks out the check book. That's how Wake Forest ended up in Winston.

In 1946, as a result of large gifts from the Z. Smith Reynolds Foundation, the entire college agreed to move to Winston-Salem, a move that was completed for the beginning of the fall 1956 term, under the leadership of Harold W. Tribble. Charles and Mary Reynolds Babcock (daughter of R. J. Reynolds) donated to the college about 350 acres (1.4 km2) of fields and woods at "Reynolda", their estate.[23] From 1952 to 1956, fourteen new buildings were constructed on the new campus.[24] These buildings were constructed in Georgian style.[24] The old campus in Wake Forest was sold to the Baptist State Convention to establish the Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary.

Nooooo whaaaaat? You mean to tell me the forum that saw one of its lead Mods actively fanning the flames of the QC speculation might have something against teams existing in the south?
