VegasIsHockey.com just sent out the open house invite.

It's mostly image, so here's the image:

It's for season ticket deposit holders, but it doesn't appear as though they're going to be checking names or anything. So, perhaps this is just an open house for people that want to see T-MA. :)

Luxury! Here in Winnipeg, we could only dream about being able to select our seats. We had to walk 20 miles to the arena, in the dead of night in a raging snowstorm, for the privilege of being escorted to the seats that had been selected for us. And we were damn glad to have them! But try to tell people in Las Vegas that these days, they don't believe you. ;)

They should have had the confidence to build a larger arena for you guys up there. :sarcasm:

I'll be there the Monday. Even though I've been there a few times I hope they have the hockey rink setup.

Just got off the phone with some guys from the organization, was told the ice will be down. The boards will be up. Nets, penalty boxes, everything. It's a full hockey lay out as it's the T-Mobile Arena's, test run for Frozen Fury. They are laying everything out so they know exactly what it's going to look like in September.

Apparently they figured they may as well invite everybody in to get some excitement. Murray Craven is supposed to be there both days to answer questions and talk hockey. Should be a pretty cool event. Completely being done by T-Mobile, the team is just latching on and helping.

Well, in Arizona, we had it tough! We used to have to get up at twelve o'clock at night and pick out our season tickets with our tongues. Then we received our season ticket perk - a handful of freezing cold gravel - and when we got home, the Canadian media would slice us in two with a bread knife and dance on our graves singing "Hallelujah."

The Four Yorkshiremen - always a classic.

Anyone here going to the open house later tonight?

I'm thinking I'm going to make an appearance at 8:00 or so, depending on whether I can get out of here on time or not.

It was an amazing opportunity to scope out seats and such. Also got to sit on the team benches and be as close to the ice as humanly possible.

I'm getting ready to roll out now. If there's anything people want to see via pictures, let me know.

I realize there's thousands of pics on social media, but I figured I'd ask.

I have a few more I can post, but I only put 1 on Instagram. I don't know how to post the rest from my phone onto this site.

If you click on your "User CP" in the top left corner of the page you'll got to the control panel, click on "pictures and albums" and you should be good to go.

Or just upload to something like photobucket and paste the link into an image.

After visiting the arena in person with ice, sleeping on it, and waking up and looking at the pictures. My excitement has elevated. I've been reserved about it because it was still a year away and there was nothing to see. I might go back tonight and sit in my "seats" tonight.

Heard a few people talking about the Open House here in passing at the airport.

Also, I was on Channel 8's broadcast clip leaning over the boards looking at the ice lol!

I think I'm going again tonight as well.

The place is nice. It feels smaller than I expected.

I was pleasantly surprised by that when I saw GNR back in April. It immediately struck me what a great venue it would be for hockey. The sight-lines are fantastic.

I agree. The only thing that really kind of kills me is the glass seats. There's only going to be like 30 people close enough to beat on the glass during games with the way it's set up. Plus, the bench shots on TV are all going to have people's crotches in them instead of people. The floor of the stands is like 2-3 feet above bench/ice level.

I'm sure this setup better for fan views (especially for people behind the benches,) but it's kind of a non-traditional setup. Are there any other arenas where you see people's legs instead of their upper bodies during coach shots on TV?

Wish I could have went to the open house but I couldn't get away from work. The pictures I've seen look amazing. I would have liked to stake out the sections I want my seats in. All the articles I read about the open house look like it was very successful and might have even added to the team's season ticket holder numbers. I read that we are basically at 16K. Can anyone verify that figure? Thats a great number and glad the team insist losing any steam even with the potential of the NFL coming to town in the near future.
