1. The Caps will keep the first pick.
2. Chicago will either keep the third pick and select a forward or trade down, with most likely Columbus to number 4.
3. Edmonton will not draft from Russia in the first round.
4. The Islanders will make a trade that has everyone scratching their heads.
5. Three Finns will go in the first round.
6. Wolski won't go as low as some of the pundits are predicting.(Some have him outside the top 15.) He will be selected top 15.
7. David Bolland will go late in the first round. Whoever takes him will be ecstatic that he dropped.
8. Montoya and Schwartz will be gone by pick 12.
9. Schneider will be in the 2nd round.
10. David Brown will go late 2nd or early 3rd round.

But then again, they are all guesses.

Someone will draft Boris Valabik in the top 10, possibly even trading up to get him.

DAMN YOU!!!!

I just got done watching Kitchner loose to London 3-2...I'm completely sold on Valabik....His progress he made this season, his upside, everything makes him a top 10 pick.

I would take Boris Valabik over Smid and Meszaros.. Mabey even Thelen. He's the real deal folks.

Valabik, Thelen, and Stafford are my guys heading into the draft, I love there games, and there awesome players, and they'll go top 10.

Viktor Alexandrov and Kirill Lyamin well steals, and likely get targeted by a good scouting staff, ( Devils, Sharks).

4 goalies well be taken in the 1st round, Shantz well be a early 2nd along with 2 others at least.

Even with Stanstny opting out, this is one of the best USHL draft classes in a while. Chris Zarb well be the first player chosen from this crop IMO, and Klubertanz a close 2nd, Oreskovich is also going to be taken high.

Travis Zajac well fall out of the first round and well be the first pick in the 2nd round.

Adam Pineault well fall, and fall.

Schremp will fall to the second half of the first round.

The 1-2-3 order will be Ovechkin, Malkin, Olesz.

There will be no movement of the top 5 picks.

One of Nokelainen or Korpikoski will be selected in the top 15.

Mike Milbury will make a trade that makes sense to noone but him.

Mike Keenan will trade Huselius for a fourth round pick.

Bob Pulford will fall asleep at the drafting table.

Washington does NOT trade the pick.

Thelen will be taken by CLB at the #7 spot after trading with Ottawa (previously acquired for Chris Philips and Ottawa's first for Novak and the pick). Ottawa drafts Andrew Ladd.

Phoenix takes Tukonen not Montoya as many think

LA trades up to #8 to take Montoya

O'Neill not traded on draft day....Carolina goes through salary arbitration with him and grinds the heck out of him before moving him to Vancouver in late August.

Vancouver drafts Lyamin

Florida takes Bolland with Ottawa's first rounder

NYR trades second round pick and Tom Poti for Denis Gauthier and a 2005 3rd.

Rita traded to Minnesota for a 2nd rounder in 2005

New Jersey picks Lukas Kaspar with their first rounder.

Green gets picked by St Louis in the first

Draft top 10:

WAS - Ovechicken
PIT - Malkin
CHI - Barker
OTT - Ladd
PHO - Tukonen
NYR - Olesz
CLB - Thelen
LA - Montoya
ANA - Stafford
STL - Green

Guys, how is "Washington will hold onto the 1st overall" a bold prediction?

Here's mine:

Edmonton will select Dubnyk..... at #14. :amazed:
