Not sure if this was mentioned before but what is the tiebreaker between the Isles and Pens for home ice in the first round?

If tied in points and ROW which would be likely, the season series is tied.
Is it then goal differential for the season? Pens are +8 on us?

Answering my own question, yes, goal differential is important and piling it on the Sabre’s is critical. Up 5-0 We are now -1 To the Pens.

If Boston wins tomorrow the Isles will conceivably be playing 2 teams in their final 3 game who don’t really have anything to play for. Boston would be 8 up on Toronto and the Caps will likely have clinched before our game. If the Isles can’t go 2-1 that’s just unfortunate. As of now if they go 2-1 they’re 83-10 to get the 2 seed. If Pittsburgh loses tomorrow they’ll be 86-5

1. the Isles need to go 3-0 and beat the Caps in regulation and
2. The caps need to go 1-0-1 (or worse) @ Fla and Montreal and
3. The Isles need to outscore the Caps by 5 goals in goal differential.
4. if they end up tied and Isles beat Caps in regulation and outscore the Caps by exactly 4 goals in goal diff. they would play again to decide the division winner.

Just wanted to point out that Detroit is 7-3 in their last 10 and 6-1 in their last 7. They just stormed back on the Bruins with a 4 goal 3rd period last night. I hope the Red Wings saved some of that for the Penguins.
