It's weird that people are SO WORRIED about Gaudette becoming a UFA in August 2019 but don't realize that it's even easier for Kole Lind to become a UFA in June 2019.

Doesn't Kole Lind re-enter the draft?

No, because he's a late-1998 birthday he becomes a UFA on June 1, 2019. Michael Dipietro, by contrast, would go back in the draft if not signed as a 1999 birthdate.
True, totally forgot about that.

The difference here is that Kole Lind is expected to play in the AHL next season. It's highly unlikely he would forego his first pro season for another year riding buses in the WHL. It's why you never see major junior players refuse to sign with their team.

I don't have the college free agency fears. I'm even hopeful trammer comes back, it's really nice living in my stupidly optimistic bubble
I don't think you're 'stupidly optimistic at all. Predict that Gaudette will follow Boeser to the NHl after Northeastern is done this year in the NCAA; and as far as Tryamkin goes, the absence of Russia from this year's Olympics has to be a huge blow....one of the reasons I think he went back imo. And if his agent was doing his homework, Tryamkin will have an 'out clause" in his KHL contract. If Benning opens the vault, could easily see him returning.

So happy Lockwood made team USA. He's such a Swiss Army Knife of a player. Can just play in any situation, any line, super hard working, forechecking, back checking, never see him take a shift off. I think that he'll play well in the WJC on the PK, third/fourth line energy guy. Happy for him

I'm a Will Lockwood fan if you haven't noticed. I think he has one of the more translatable games of our prospects. His stat line isn't flashy, but his play is just so rock solid
