does anybody understand this trade?

best guess I have is it was "Jeremy Morin for future consideration" - Arizona looking for minor league depth, and Tampa doing Morin and Arizona a favour.

But then instead of just "future consideration" Arizona asked to swap a contract.

No reason for Tampa to do this, imo, as an actual one-for-one trade. Value's just not there. Arizona must've initiated.

Syracuse has too many veterans - you can only play 5- so they are paying a couple guys every night to sit in the press box, and are having to bring guys in on PTO to fill the roster. Fournier is not considered a veteran yet so he can get in the lineup. Syracuse has a bunch of smaller scoring liners and could use some size. But Morin is clearly the better point producer.

Pretty sure his role as GM of the Coyotes is all a hoax for the next season of Nathan For You.

It's really creepy actually. They look exactly alike. There's been some speculation that Comedy Central and the NHL made an agreement to pull something off for the next season. I don't know, Nathan has done some crazy **** and the NHL would probably stoop to any length to make sun belt hockey relevant.

For comparison.....

Fournier is younger and bigger. Guess that was the logic behind it.

Now that we have Fournier, let's grab Ehlers and MacKinnon.
