What you should do is adjust the 2 threads for each year of the contract. Make the first , Sunny signs 1.5mil for 24-25 season. Make the second, Sunny signed 1.5mil for 25-26 season.

From a pure on-ice perspective, it's either too much or a year too long. Sunny plays a style I'd prefer the contract to be completely buriable if it's more than a year. But given how much Sunny loves STL and how he seems like a good locker room guy, Im not going to quibble over an extra 500k.

I thought he would fizzle out on this current contract. Sundqvist proved me wrong.

I think he will fizzle out on this next 2y contract.

Love it, happy to see Sunny return and get a bit of term! He is more valuable to the team than he would have been in a trade IMO…plus it’s a perfect excuse to re-post one of my favorite pics haha

I’m so glad that out of the few players we have left from the Cup era to endure this retool, it’s our cult hero Sunny.

The man just gives it all he has for this city, and you can’t help but love the guy. He will absolutely go down as one of my favorite non-star players in Blues history.

Maybe I’m in the minority, but I think Sunny is a shell of his cup winning self.

I like the deal. Since putting Walker/Toro/Sunny together we finally have a decent 4th line that can play a regular shift, a must for a DA type team that builds with depth and not with high end superstars. He seems like a good guy and he plays hard, so a good guy to have around as we bring up the Bolducs and Snuggys of the world.

draws penalties, kills penalties, good 4th liner still

over/under on him cutting his hair before the end of this extension?
