So we're clearly going all-in on Tavares. Do we have ANY connections to him? Any Sharks played with him or coached him?

This is going to be a fascinating week + to see if we land him. I'd peg our odds around 25% - a total SWAG.

I’m not arguing FYI, just curious why do you say 25%?

An underrated benefit to landing Tavares would be his Thornton-like historical penchant for turning mediocre linemates into scoring machines. Timo could easily score 35 on Tavares' wing and then we could flip Timo for a top defenseman. Lather, rinse, repeat with someone like Labanc or Balcers the following year.
