Just what the team needs. Re-sign a quality depth player only for him to get riddled with injuries after a new deal. That sucks so much for everyone involved.

Roster spot. Yes. Lineup? Will depend on opponent, day of the week, and McLellan's Ouija board reading.

You are right but it's funnier to just say nah he's a vet we just signed and we're revisiting the Jody Shelley days so we need him in the lineup to protect our young players every night and put on a show for the crowd by punching someone in the face.

What a ****in' joke. I hope those who ragged on Havlat for his lack of toughness and injury issues are also ragging on Torres.

Completely different injuries. Getting a knee on knee is way different than stepping off the bench and snapping a hamstring or getting his banjo string snapped by a spear.

Yeah but neither deserve to be ragged on for freak occurrences. Havlat got that treatment. There's a decent argument for Torres deserving the same...but that was assuming people didn't have double standards. lol

That's true but they have to deal with the expectations too right? Havlat got ragged on because of the expectations that he would score when he was in the lineup even if oft injured.

Really bad news! Losing Torres is a giant blow to the already not so great bottom 6.

It sucks for Torres that it was a 'clean up' that did the damage.
