Don't think there is a wrong answer, JT has easily been our best player every single night so far. He's faster, playing smarter and leading us in scoring along with excellent 2 way play. If he can keep this up, he will be in the conversation for the Hart at the end of the season. Easily our MVP so far, then again it's only 6 games.

I am a big fan of both Tavares and Stamkos, good Toronto boys.

As far as who is playing better right now, it is Tavares. He looks like that dominant 1st overall franchise C.

Before the start of the 2019-20 Season it was said how Tavares had an oblique injury and it didn't help when he suffered a broken finger and missed 7 games.

So it helps that right now he's 100% healthy and looking like the player Toronto had in the 2018-19 Season when he got 47 goals and 88 points.

That was just the usual suspects on here that are known for flaming Leaf players. It was funny though, Tavares scores 47 goals...and the peanut gallery on here says he is no good and declining. The funniest part about that is, the season before when he was playing in New York...those were the same posters that had him as a top three Center in the NHL. Then he comes to Toronto, scores more goals and points but is somehow worse  .

Even after Tavares scored those 47 goals, some people wanted to point out how he didn't get at least 90 points, even though his 88 points set a new career high for him in a season.

Those same posters don’t have a 47 goal scorer on their team to begin with. Meh, easy to see what is going on there.

I wonder how many were fans of the Canadiens who Tavares did not want to meet with or Islanders fans being upset that he left them.
Lots I am sure. Also, the usual Toronto haters on here.

As far as this season goes, Tavares looks like a stud! Franchise #1 C.

Sitting at a desk.
Stamkos is and has always been better.

They are incredibly close, and I do question how their careers may have looked if Tavares played with Vinny and Marty instead of Parenteau and Moulson.

2 top 5-10 players of the era. Giroux is another that belongs in this conversation. Great careers so far.
