Anybody saw the second intermission with Kypreos/Scott Morrison???

They literally just covered topics that have been hot on these forums for weeks LOL- they covered:

-Players won't sign here because of the media
-Toronto is in the top 5 cities of no-trade clauses (players will not agree to be traded here)
-They have lost a "generation of Leaf fans" - and that part is EXACTLY how he said it - Morrison said that for an 18 year old, they have no "lasting memories" of the Leafs these past 10-15 years... this has been a hot topic that has been discussed here for the past few weeks.. WOW lol...

is really IS true.. these media guys read these forums and possibly participate as well - somebody brought this up yesterday- I doubted it, but now I totally agree..

question is, what are their names on here ;)

And don't forget:
- Played both Leipsic YTs featured in the trade thread during 1st intermission.

A lot of posters have not seen success from this franchise but when it comes back Leaf sweaters will be in the stands wherever they are travelling to and in some cases will outnumber the fans of the teams they will be visiting.

right.. but when will that be, if ever? It's been 12 years now. Prior to that they had 2 or 3 good years with Sundin.. but another 8-10 years of b.s. before that... and again with Gilmour another 2 good years and then prior to that more than 25 years of the same old b.s.

so with the exception of 4 years or so of good, hopeful hockey, it''s been close to 50 years of futility. So when exactly do we think success will return? Is this the time it's finally going to get started (with this 'rebuild")? Because if so we can add another 5 years onto those totals.... of course it's the right way to go though. Otherwise they continue to spin their tires for the next 5 years with nothing at the end. At least this with a rebuild there's something at the end of it.

But no one is getting their hopes up until we see the plan in action - and with their track record the default feeling is that none of this rebuild stuff will amount to anything.. wait and see, Problem is I'll be another 5 years older lol

This is why this franchise needs to draft and develop their own. Wasn't that long ago no one wanted to play in Detroit or Chicago. Success brings followers and since the Sundin era came to an end the time is too long for young players to remember. Over a decade has passed. That means 18 year old OHL players have never seen the Leafs at the top or near the top of the standings. So, why would they want to play here?

A lot of posters have not seen success from this franchise but when it comes back Leaf sweaters will be in the stands wherever they are travelling to and in some cases will outnumber the fans of the teams they will be visiting. The will have posters all over the city of them and fans will adore them. When this happens players will want to come here just like Mogilny, Roberts, Niewendyk and Leech wanted to come here. You guys listen to too many idiot reporters like Cox and Simmons. Make your own judgments and for the record, no UFA is going to make this team a contender right now. We need a full rebuild.

Never seen a full rebuild that traded everyone.
