you know whats weird, we win games we really shouldve lost and lose or get a point in games we shouldve won !
We really do, so I can't complain too much.

I'm more mad when we lose games while getting Hynes'd, which doesn't happen much in losses.

I will say that I'm skeptical we would have played this well had the game been tied the entire night or if we had been in the lead. Just look at what Hynes did after we tied it. He played the rest of regulation like we were trying to just get to OT.

I liked the way he ran things in OT, but the end of the 3rd period was another ''Sit on it'' example.

And then Boyle as the 4th or 5th shooter? Supposed the very next shooter scored on Cory, the game would have been over right then and there because of that.

Boyle probably shouldn't be the last shooter, in fact, I'd shoot him before Henrique, as Henrique has the most abysmal and pathetic shooting percentage in the shootout out of any shooter with over 10-15 career attempts. To be fair to Hynes, he hasn't used him much. This was his first try in a couple years. Deboer racked up all those opportunities, because he couldn't come to the realization that Henrique was like 1 for 13 or 1 for 14 while he was here.

Idk about that, we had such low quality chances

I think it was moreso the Bruins rolled over than any outplaying we did

Wish Khudobin(sp?) would've rolled over at least one more time after Hall's goal so we could be celebrating another 2 points.

(and Bratt had him..:banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead:...he HAD HIM but lost the puck when he almost made the same move that removed that other goaltender's jock from his person)

these are NHL teams they don't just rollover. Outshooting a team 15-5 in one period is impressive and is a credit to the devils players. it's also impressive how many times this season already they have come back from down 2-0. Obviously it would be nice to see them not go down so often but it's good that they are mentally strong enough to fight back.

They came from behind for the tie and a point. This was the longest SO I can remember for the Devils. SOs just luck and don't belong. Have ties, they are good.

Go Devils

They tried far too often to deke when it was clear that Khudobin wasn’t biting on anything. Should’ve shot from a bit farther away.

Team played well, deserved a win. Hall-Nico-Bratt needs to stay a thing. They were dominant. Yes it makes us top heavy with Palmieri and Johansson out, but they looked incredible.

Then I think I’d put Henrique back with Coleman and Gibbons, Zajac with Zacha and Stafford, and Boyle with Wood and Noesen or Blandisi.

I counted at least 3 of our shooters that lost control of the puck at some point in their attempt too. I don't know if the ice was shit or our guys just flubbed it.

I think Hynes must think if we dont win after 3 shooters...its all luck after that, sorta like the gimmick it is in the shoot-out

It's also not like we've got a lot of shooters on this team. After Hall, Bratt, and Stafford went it was a complete crapshoot. Boyle shooting was weird, but sometimes the guy you least expect to score does. I'm not going to kill Hynes over that decision though given the next 7 guys didn't score either. He rolled the dice, it didn't work. On to the next game.

As long as he learns from it next game. If he rolls the dice again and uses him as one of the first 4-5 shooters, we deserve to lose and it just might be the reason we lose next time.

I'd still use him over Henrique. I bet people who aren't familiar with Henrique, see his 2 for 16 (now 2 for 17 career) and go ''How the hell does this guy get this many opportunities in the shootout, with how awful he is at it?''.

His first shootout goal back in his rookie year. It was seriously in December of 2011. His only other shootout goal was against the Sharks, early in the 15-16 season.

Henrique has never scored a shootout goal with Pete DeBoer not in the building. It's pretty hilarious when you think about it that way.

I’m happier with our play tonight even though we lost than with how we played against Minnesota, especially considering we didn’t have Palmieri. If we keep putting together efforts like that, the playoffs are a definite possibility.

Is it bad that I want to punch the little kids on my train wearing Knicks’ Porzingis jerseys? They are all giddy like the Knicks aren’t a total joke and I just assume that if they are this happy about THAT awful franchise, they can’t wait to wear Rags jerseys too...

I'm still recovering from watching 11 rounds tonight.

I watched an 8 or 9 rounder between the Sharks and Ducks the other night.

I'm still trying to get my strength back, but I think I lost a few years watching tonight's.

I read a book on human psychology and its perfectly normal to think these thoughts, but totally wrong to follow through with them !
