The good reason is they don’t want Nico going up against one of the best players in the NHL, Anze Kopitar. This also gets one of Nico or Hall away from Doughty too.

...also to play Zajac against Kopitar. Zajac has been back to his old self the last couple of months, and he has a very good track record over his career of getting the better of top players in a defensive match up.
