Probably Korenar. Based on comments from the Sharks Melnichuk needs more time and Korenar is ready now.Melni getting the backups spot?
Korenar. Melnichuk has been buns in the AHL learning how to play on the smaller rink. Should stay in the minors full time the rest of this season and probably next.Melni getting the backups spot?
We pick up a 7th to move way back in the 5th... Meh. And we take on a cap dump.So we technically got more value for dubnyk than we gave up. That's cool.
Basically even. Dubnyk made 2.167M and Pateryn makes 2.25MAnyone know how much cap space that adds? I know it won't be much, but more room to take on a bad contract as the 3rd team in a trade is a bonus of moving Dub.
Tbf It was a 2022 5th and we're getting a 2021 5thWe pick up a 7th to move way back in the 5th... Meh. And we take on a cap dump.

True. So basically a net zero result, but we take back a cap dump. Nothing to like about this, but no reason to be upset.Tbf It was a 2022 5th and we're getting a 2021 5th
Half of Pateryn's salary is being retained by Minnesota.
You think sawchenko or harvey gets signed to an NHL contract so they don't have to leave Melnichuk on the taxi squad?Should point out that taxi squad requirements say that we have to have one goaltender there. So Melnichuk has just been recalled to the taxi squad, because we have no other goalies under NHL contract.

If this team actually wants to compete this year, having two back-ups with zero nhl experience behind a very volatile Jones isn’t the way to do it. Pick a direction.
