Ghost is nowhere near Trouba. Ghost can score, but as far as actually playing D, not so much. Jets wouldn't even consider it.
Guarantee you haven't watched him play once. There's not many people who would rank Trouba anywhere near Ghost. Create a poll if you'd like, I wont even bother

was he laughable last year when he single-handedly put the Flyers on his back and helped them make the playoffs? they don't make it without him. not even close. funny how Trouba can't do the same for the Jets.
it's amazing sometimes what short memories people can have.

It always turns into a pissing match. Opposing teams offer something (or nothing) insulting, OP team fans get offended.
Flyers aren't trading Ghost. If they were, we'd expect back someone like a Nylander or Marner (not exactly them, but something like them). That's pretty much it.

Re watch the overtime game the Flyers and Jets played last year. It was the Schiefle and Ghost show. Trouba is a good player but not even close to a difference maker. The Flyers can move a defenseman or two but they really could use a center. Boy would i love to pry Schiefle away (i know its not happening).

This is pretty much what i was leading to, That Ghost is the better scorer but Trouba is the more complete D man i as a Wings fan would much rather bring Trouba home i would rather have Trouba myself then Ghost.

Valuewise, how about Sam Reinhart? Not saying either side would or wouldn't do it, but valuewise would it work as a basis for a deal?

That's probably pretty good value, but he's not at all on the block and I can't really see that changing, even with all the other good D prospects we have.

Yea I didn't figure this would ever happen, just trying to nail the value for fun.
Values there. Not that I think either team does it.
Reinhart would be an upgrade offensively at 2C.
Buffalo gets their top pair LD and still have Eichel and O'Reilly down the middle.

Trouba drives play and is excellent defensively. Gostisbehere doesn’t do either and likely ends up as a second pair PP specialist. Playing in the east and having a big point total can do wonders for perceived value but Trouba is a much better player.

So what you're saying is, you don't watch the Flyers? Its not exactly a coincidence that the Flyers had one of the best records in the league last year after he got called up/came back. They went from being bottom 5 to a play off team.

That's true, but he clearly drives play - it's really very obvious after watching him all the time. That doesn't mean that Trouba doesn't also, because he does, but so does Ghost, absolutely.
Sure, 64 games is realtively small. But that doesn't change the fact that he was driving the play for those 64 games. Therefore, it can't be said that he doesn't drive the play. Try again.
